"God-bearer" or "Mother of God,"

Mary is called the Virgin, that is, "God-bearer" or "Mother of God," because He brought the Son of God to this womb and from it received His humanity. Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, recognized this reality when she called Mary, "the Mother of my Lord" (Luke 1:43). Mary said to herself, "All generations will call me blessed" (Luke 1:48). Thus, we, Orthodox, in our generation, call it blessed. Mary lived a holy and holy life and honors her especially as the model of holiness, the first of the solitary, the Mother of the new humanity in her Son. They are confused with the Orthodox Christians who claim to believe that the Bible never calls Mary or honor the one she brought and gave God the Son to the human body. Church. Why; Because physical killing is not a loss for a Christian. It is a true pass to heaven. The Christian does not cease to be part of the Church to death. God fo
rbids! Neither is it removed, inactive until the day of judgment.
